The Dovecot, Bulford

Welcome to comfort & hospitality in a superb riverside setting

Situated next to the River Avon and close to Stonehenge, Longleat, Amesbury and Salisbury, this country house has been created from an 18th Century dovecot and period farm buildings. Once a working farm, it is now a fascinating and comfortable house offering high class bed and breakfast ( B&B ) accommodation around a charming courtyard garden.

  • There are two en-suite bedrooms, so guests can receive plenty of individual attention. The rooms look out onto the extensive gardens and water features, and have their own separate access onto the courtyard, affording privacy and flexibility
  • Breakfast is taken in the dovecote, which features three-foot deep chalk walls with nesting boxes. Our food is freshly cooked to order; it is locally sourced wherever possible, which has earned us the Wiltshire Breakfast Award for the third year
  • Guests can relax in the large sitting room, with roaring log fire and stunning views over the river, or stroll around the grounds at their leisure
  • Our wireless internet ( WiFi ) connection enables guests to use their laptops to check their email and keep in contact with the outside world.

Sounds like your sort of place? Then just read what our guests have to say:

  • “Best B&B we’ve ever stayed in! Beautiful grounds, peaceful setting, great breakfast! Thank you for starting off our holiday so well.”
  • “Absolutely wonderful! You’ve got a beautiful place and the breakfast just finishes it off perfectly.”
  • “A little piece of heaven to be enjoyed.”
  • “My trip was for business, but my stay was all pleasure. Wonderful location and service.”
  • “Staying with you made our holiday. It was good to know that such a paradise exists.”
